I have known Kristen Callihan since our writing careers were barely more than fresh thoughts in each of our minds. As one of her critique partners, I was able to discover what her future agent and publisher would come to know. Kristen Callihan is a fantastic story teller but more importantly, she is a really great person.
When developing ideas for my book, The Night Lamp, I knew that my characters, Cole and Isa, would arrive in the same town. This location was important to both of them for different reasons. I couldn't bring myself to haphazardly name a place that played such an important part in the book. The setting's name had to be as significant as the characters' names. With Kristen's permission, Callihan Township was born.
While Kristen is an upstanding and honorable woman, Callihan Township hides a murderer who will stop at nothing to keep his identity a secret. Cole and Isa will stop at nothing to expose him. When they become his next target, they must rely on each other to survive. A murderer's blade is not nearly as deadly as their growing attraction for each other.
